nine months!

we're still here!!! we've been so busy lately so the updates have been slow, but the good news is that we found a house!! collin & i have spent way too many days driving neighborhoods, looking at houses and shopping loans (way less fun than shopping for shoes or toys) but we did it -- we found a great house in a great town on a great street! the inspection is tomorrow, and if we don't find anything too icky -- we're in! we should move mid-september. yippee!!!!

but more importantly - back to collin. he turned nine months old!!!



collin did a lot of growing during his ninth month.... he has lots of new spiky blonde hair, four new teeth (and he's working on three more now!), and a freckle on his left knee. i've already ooogled countless hours over this freckle and gotten sentimental about it (how many falls off from his bicycle it will get scraped up from, how many slides into first base it will see, and how many lovepats from a girlfriend it will get, oh what a sweet freckle!!)

he also is moving around SO MUCH!!! i have a video here that is about a week old, and is sooo outdated already - this move only takes about three seconds now, and he doesn't need the head-down-deep-thought before standing up anymore;)



he also is talking, talking, talking. i wish he came with subtitles because i know there is some pretty funny stuff going on in his head. he definitely says 'i!' and 'ba-ba' when waving bye-bye, we think he says ball and means it and he definitely says mama, but has no idea what it means. here is a noise he loves to make lately...



he is still charming the ladies everywhere we go (especially the white-haired-ladies ;) ). i can't imagine anyone getting more comments from strangers than i do about having such a happy baby. we're lucky parents!! collin & i are still loving gymboree class and are ready to move up to level 3! oh, and we're in our fifth week of swim class, which is the cutest thing ever.
