in bloom

i am so thrilled with the spring blooms in our yard this year. last spring, we didn't get to see anything bloom in our yard because everything was so overgrown and covered in brush. we spent weekend after weekend after weekend on yard work last summer, and it is definitely paying off now --with spring blooms that we can see! so far, i have found lilacs (which smell amazing!), and dogwood trees.
grandma shirley, these dogwood blooms are for you, since they weren't quite open when you were here...

breakfast with daddy

just a little peek into a typical saturday morning breakfast... oatmeal, stories, pajamas. and see those big, adoring eyes looking up at daddy? they are a regular at breatkfast time, too. the gorilla move that jason is doing, however, only shows up during jungle stories ;).

easter

what a fun easter this year! we were so lucky to be able to spend it with two of our favorite grandmas, and collin actually "got" the idea of an easter egg hunt. the easter bunny hid eggs all around the house, and by 7:30am, we were in full hunt mode. we spent the rest of the day eating, celebrating mass, and playing teeball in the back yard. thanks so much for visiting us, Grandma "Grupe", and Grandma "Great"!

colorful memories

grandma Thelen came all the way from Michigan to help us color eggs this year! actually, she just put her nutty daughter's mind to rest by staying with us while Jason was out of town. thank you so much for visiting, we had so much fun!
